About Tami L. Rogers
Growing up in the woods and waters of Southern Maine cemented my being one with nature. My childhood and teens mostly consisted of searching beyond what the eyes could see…. Simply trying to find meaning in what my body, mind, and spirit was sharing with me. I enjoyed living in the world of “feelings” rather than relying on what was supposed to be. I also enjoyed loving my imagination and appreciating the art of play. One day I woke up and found myself living in what I like to call the “tangible world” ~ where I had forgotten to listen to my body, along with my very own spirit and found myself wondering how this came to be. I then came to the realization this is what my parents had always referred to as “Life”…. I was allowing my mind (ego), and the advice of others to make choices for me and my well-being, not listening to my inner self for guidance ~ right where all the answers have always been. Soon after this realization I began to change my path and fell deeply in love with a life long journey that I wasn’t fully aware that I had been seeking since birth. All the verbiage that is written in the past tense, (enjoyed and lived) is now spoken in the present… In 1994, my husband John and I bought Eagle Lodge & Camps, a set of Sporting Camps located in Lincoln, Maine. In 1998 we started the life of 6 months in Maine and 6 months in the Florida Keys. During the long hard days of owning and operating a small business I began to find ways to release inner stress and become centered. Meditation, drumming, long walks, and yoga are to name a few. My first Reiki experience left me with feelings of “awe”. I could feel the energy coursing through my whole being as the Reiki Master centered and balanced the energy within my field. After the session the Reiki Master gave me my very first Chakra reading. With mouth wide open ~ I was hearing what she was saying… I knew the meaning of her words… it was a knowing within me. From that day forward I knew this healing art had to be known. The quest and thirst for knowledge is deep within me, I hope it is the same for you. |

Tami is a mother and stepmother to six grown children. She is a Spiritual healer and Licensed Holistic Reiki Teacher with the State of Maine, Department of Education. Tami holds a Bachelors Degree in Science/Natural Health & Wellness. She is a Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher, Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, Shamanic Healer, Facilitator for Women’s Wellness Retreats, Ordained Minister, Professional Photographer, and Registered Maine Guide. She currently lives in Belfast, Maine with her husband John, their Brittany, Addie and two Maine Coon Cats. Tami and John are the founders and owners of Maine’s Outdoor Learning Center. This center has educated over 90 0 outdoorsmen and women to become Registered Maine Guides and U.S. Coast Guard Captains. “I enjoy life, good health, good friends, cooking, gardening, scrap booking, genealogy, jewelry making, singing, dancing, yoga, crystals, fishing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, camping, going to the beach, live theater, the movies, good books, writing, meditating, sunrises, and most of all my family.” |

John retired with 26 years as Navy Photographer. He taught photography classes while stationed in Brunswick, Maine. He currently owns and operates a Photo Finishing Shop in Tennessee.
